The Kirby Collection at the South African College of Music of over 600 rare instruments is a unique example of the musical heritage of Southern Africa. Currator Rick Deja presents the acclaimed collection together with Anthea van Wieringen, granddaughter of the collector, Prof Percival Kirby. The tour will be complemented by musical demonstrations by well-known musician and SACM lecturer Dizu Plaatjies and several students.
